It depends on the work. Do I need florist software if I already use HoneyBook, Dubsado, Canva or spreadsheets?
Test whether your current setup carries an approved proposal into costed flower recipes, supplier quantities and event-week instructions, and what still gets copied by hand when a client changes the order. If your spreadsheet and proposal template still keep quantities, revisions and purchases consistent, you may not need to switch yet. A florist-specific tool earns its keep when those records need to stay connected across proposals, recipes and production — in BloomBoard, a recipe change flows through the supplier order sheet and the margin on the event.
Do I need a POS if I only do weddings and events?
No. A point-of-sale system is for taking payment across a counter, managing daily deliveries and running a shop floor. For wedding-only work, prioritise proposals, flower costing, purchasing and production planning; a retail POS is optional unless you also need counter sales.

Can clients pay through BloomBoard?
Yes, on every plan. Every invoice has its own private page, and clients can pay it there by card — through Stripe, or Yoco in South Africa — or by bank transfer with click-to-copy details and a reference. Card payments mark the invoice paid by themselves; BloomBoard takes no fee beyond your provider’s processing fee, which you can pass on to card payers. Invoices, deposits, payment schedules, automatic VAT and sequential numbering are on both plans too.
Does BloomBoard have a mobile app?

Does BloomBoard use AI?
Yes, for the admin rather than the design. Upload a photo of an arrangement and Smart Recipe Builder suggests the flowers and quantities with the costing filled in, every line still editable; Smart Price Import brings a supplier’s price list in without retyping; BloomBoard Assistant works inside the workspace. All three are on both plans — Core includes 50 Smart Recipe Builder runs and five price-list imports a month, Studio 400 and 20.
How often does BloomBoard add features?
BloomBoard ships updates weekly and logs them on its public changelog in plain florist language, so you can see what is live rather than take a roadmap on trust — for example the Canva integration, released 28 August 2026 on both plans.
Is there free florist software?
