What happened to Stemcounter?
Stemcounter became Curate in 2018 — the floral proposal software rebranded and merged with MeasuringSpoon, a catering product, to form Curate, positioned as vertical-agnostic events software (Curate’s announcement, 15 May 2018). There is no standalone Stemcounter product today: as of 28 August 2026, stemcounter.com redirects to Curate’s florist software page.
So nothing is broken, and you haven’t missed anything. The question is only where you take your work next — and there are three honest answers below.
The short answer, in four facts
- 2018: Stemcounter (floral proposal software) and MeasuringSpoon (catering) became Curate. Curate announced it on 15 May 2018.
- Today: no Stemcounter-branded product, pricing or sign-up exists. The name lives on inside Curate.
- The domain: as of 28 August 2026, stemcounter.com redirects to curate.co/florist-software/. Its https address refuses connections, which is what a legacy redirect domain looks like.
- Your options: Curate (the successor), Details Flowers, or BloomBoard — described fairly below.

The short history
Two products became one platform.
In May 2018, the company behind Stemcounter published a post introducing Curate. Two products — Stemcounter for florists and MeasuringSpoon for caterers — came together under one name, and the new company described itself as vertical-agnostic software rather than a floral tool. That was the moment Stemcounter stopped being a product you could buy on its own.
Curate today is an events platform rather than a florist platform: its site describes serving caterers, florists, event professionals, rental companies and venues, and it keeps a dedicated florist software page for the floral side of that business. If you loved Stemcounter, that’s the honest thing to know: the successor is bigger and broader than the thing you used, and florals are one vertical inside it.
The other change is how it’s sold. As of 28 August 2026, Curate’s pricing page shows three tiers — Basic, Growth and Partnership — with no amounts against them; the only choice on the page is monthly or annual billing, and every plan button opens a “Let’s Chat” demo booking. So finding out what it costs starts with a conversation.
None of that is a criticism. Plenty of florists want a demo, a bigger platform and a team who’ll walk them through it. It just isn’t the only shape a Stemcounter replacement can take, which is why the next section lays all three out properly.
